Our African dance workshops will inspire young artists to:

• Engage in traditional West African dance forms.  These dance forms are an exploration of our company repertoire using West African dance techniques from the Wolof, Fulani, Mandinka & Jola ethnic group.

• Exploration of choreographic devices.  Students would be challenged to expand their creative and technical perimeters in African dance forms.

​Our African music workshops will inspire young artists to develop:

• Singing & vocal techniques, drawing from traditional & contemporary African songs to diversify vocal range in new styles of music.

• Traditional West African percussion  techniques, using instruments such as  Djembe & Balafon, learning the  fundamentals and foundations of this fun and energetic art forms.

Our performance projects draw on all the elements of expressive arts forms to explore work from company repertoire.

You will expand on performance skills in line with the national curriculum using in:

• ​Singing

• Dance

• Acting & Storytelling

• Untuned instruments from West Africa

• Musical Theatre
